Originally hailing from the Blue Mountains area in Sydney's west, David began his professional playing career in golf on the Australasian PGA Tour. It didn't take long before David realised his real interest in the game was in uncovering new techniques, understanding the mechanics of the swing, and learning the intricacies of the game, which would eventually lead him to dedicating more time to teaching golf rather than playing tournaments week to week on the Tour.
David’s coaching career took shape in the mid-1990s via his work with PGA Tour players Jon Riley, Scott Gardiner and Chris Downes who all enjoyed success in the Professional ranks locally and abroad.
Since launching the David Nable Golf Academy more than 20 years ago, David has coached golfers to many championship victories including State Amateur Champions in both the male and female ranks, Junior State Championships and boys and girls at a variety of elite level amateur events.
David has also coached Professional Players to State Open Championship victories as well as guiding Andrew Buckle to the US PGA Tour and Amy Yang to the LPGA Tour. David remains committed to coaching aspiring young golfers from around the country to the top of leader boards wherever tournament golf is played.
Mentoring and coaching some of the best young golfers in the country is only part of David’s day-to-day business.
